Kanye - Monster Video (Official)

And before you go thinking it's old news; the one leaked 6 months ago, was an unfinished version ...

Track 'Monster', Taken from Kanye's critically acclaimed 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', got it's official Video Release last night.

The video which features Rick Ross, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj, is to some extent slightly disturbing as it features the four rappers, in a variety of different scenes surrounded by corpses, decapitated bodies, and cannibalistic behavior.

Despite recent concern surrounding the moral element of the content within music videos and their influence over the youth, the ever controversial Mr. West decided to go and give the video its official release anyway. But what else would we expect from him really ?

The video begins with a quote stating :

'' The following content is in no way meant to be interpreted as misogynistic or negative towards any groups of people. It is an art piece and shall be taken as such''

Whether a disclaimer can really take away the responsibility the artist has for a videos content is questionable in itself, not to mention the contradiction that art is traditionally made to convey a meaning to be interpreted by its its audience anyway.

Albeit, the track is a great piece of music and the main star has to be Nicki. Not only is her verse one of her best to date, but visually the S&M style conflict between two of her alter-ago's 'Barbie' & 'Roman'. She didn't hold back and even, in my opinion, outshone hip-hop royalty.
